Where The Mystery Meets Matter

I have been exploring the mysteries of matter for most of my life in different forms. From Embodiment to natural medicine, to womb work and the feminine, to creating and integrating with family and now art.

I love exploring form, frequency and vibration, how form shape shifts, and how it becomes a living field that draws energy in and transmits energy out. I am drawn to where the mystery meets matter and where beauty becomes a transmission of life rather than something to be objectified.

Expanding this journey of embodiment and form into art and being at the pure creation point as something new moves through into the world creates a sense of aliveness in my being and pure joy in my soul.

Each painting begins with an image, an experience, a memory or a journey with land or myth. And each painting reveals itself through the journey as colour and texture build and the dance between intention, material and following aliveness.

There is an intimacy in this way of working. Each stroke is a connection with life birthing here in the now and what is emerging on the other side.

In a world of excess, mass production and disconnection, slowing down and embedding life, love, presence and embodied experience into form feels like a radical act.

For me, original art is alive with the essence of creation. Contained within the painting are the hours of vibrational presence, the uniqueness and energy of each brushstroke, and history of choices made as the painting reveals itself through each moment.

As the painting leaves the studio it weaves connection and relationship with those drawn to it. They may feel touched by its presence, resonate with its themes, come into connection with a deeper mystery, or find a meaning beyond what I have seen as they come into relationship with it.

Perhaps that is where the mystery continues …not only in the creating, but in the meeting.
